Season 2 to Resume July 17th

After several weeks of deliberations and too many phone calls, we're ready to get back on track with Season 2! For those of you who haven't heard yet, we will be finishing the season at the Dojo in Sammamish, starting the week after Evo (7/17). Rest assured that the entire schedule will be updated ASAP.

In addition, we are sad to report that HDR has been canceled. Frank will be distributing the prize money to all players who participated.

Thanks for all of your support, and we hope to see you all in three weeks!

Tournament Wars on Hold (Plus Week 6 Mini-Recap)

After much consideration, we've decided to suspend Season 2 until further notice. We're confident this will only be a temporary hiatus, but still feel it's necessary until we receive the final word on a venue. To all entrants, we apologize for this unfortunate situation and hope to resolve it as quickly as possible. While we understand your disappointment, rest assured that we are still dedicated to finishing this season, no matter what it takes.

Thanks to all of you for your support.

Edit: Despite our recent struggles, we still managed to hold some matches this past weekend at the Bunker and Dojo. The standings have been updated accordingly, and videos should be up within the week.

Week 5 Recap and Week 6 Venue Update

Despite the recent shakeup, Week 5 went down on Saturday with no major problems. While 7798 and Samson/LTB are starting to pull away, over half of the teams in the Seth division are sitting within 3 wins of each other. Both Stretch Lightning and Elite Beat Asians were MIA, having rescheduled their matches for a later date. Big thanks to Cole for hosting.

While not all matches were recorded, you can watch the recorded stream here.

Now for an important update. Week 6 will take place at the Bunker in Lynnwood. For those of you dreading the thought of 20+ people in Frank's apartment, don't worry: We'll have access to the building's conference room, so space shouldn't be a problem.

Also, matches will be starting at 12pm on Saturday. If you can't make it, send your reschedule request to Frank ASAP. In addition, there will not be any Tekken 6 matches on Saturday as it's on hold for the time being.

Check the Schedule page for update times.

For the Bunker's address and other info, check the "About" page.

*UPDATE* Week 5 Moved to the Dojo

Due to reasons we'd rather keep private, Best Western will not be available this weekend. As a result, we've decided to hold matches at Cole's house in Samamish to avoid falling behind schedule.

If you are unable to make the trip this Saturday, stay tuned. We're currently developing a solution, given the short notice.

Also, some matches from the Vega division are scheduled for this weekend. Check the full schedule for details. Unless stated otherwise, all times listed will remain the same.

UPDATE: We've decided to waive the two week notice requirement for reschedule requests. If you can't make it to the Dojo this Saturday and want to play your match at a later date, please contact Frank ASAP.

Week 4 Recap

The Vega division wasn't earning much respect going into Week 4. On paper it seemed the exact opposite of its S.I.N. counterpart, the Juri division; whereas Juri had playoff-caliber teams sitting at 0-3, Vega was seen as "Carlos and Frank's Evo 2010 warm-up circuit."

Seems the eight other teams in Vega are ready to prove otherwise. While Team 817 and Strawberry Sex finished 3-0, they had to scratch and claw their way to victory (no pun intended) in almost every set. Was this week a fluke, or is the Vega division a potential sleeper? We'll find out before Northwest Majors 3 in August.

Per usual, check our YouTube channel for last week's matches and interviews.

Two Important Updates!

First off, the Tekken 6 schedule has been updated through the end of Season 2. Click here for details regarding all of your matches, and be sure to let Rob know of any schedule conflicts. Remember: Starting next week, you must use up one of your reschedule requests to change a date!

Speaking of deadlines, this Sunday (May 22nd) is your last chance for switching out characters. Don't forget to check the Rules page for more information. Any requests received after Sunday will only be processed if they were sent before the deadline.

Week 3 Vids Are Go

When Season 2 started, many predicted the Juri division would be the most brutal path to the playoffs. After Week 3, it looks like they were right. At least half of the matches went down to the wire, and six of the ten teams finished with winning records. Hanz & Franz, an early division favorite, now sits at 1-2 and in serious danger of missing the playoffs.

As for the two teams sitting on top at 3-0, they are led by none other than Tanaka, Season 1 MVP, and Ceramic Sugar, our reigning singles champion. Yet even these two powerhouses are just one bad weekend away from falling out of the top 4. Every team in this division has little room for error, so expect a close race until the very end.

Week 3 vids and interviews are being uploaded today and tomorrow, so keep an eye on our YouTube channel for all the action.
